Connestee Falls POA Announces New GM/COO, Jim Whitmore
A licensed Community Association Manager for over a quarter century, Jim Whitmore comes to Connestee Falls with a stellar resume including but not limited to memberships with the Professional Golfers Association (PGA) and Club Managers Association of America (CMAA).
Whitmore comes to lead management and operations of Connestee Falls from Pelican Sound Gulf & River Club in Estero, Florida where he was most recently the General Manager and Chief Operating Officer. Owned by 1,299 residents, the community is amenity rich with 27 holes of championship golf, dry storage river marina and boat launch, Tennis, Pickle Ball, Bocce, and two top caliber food & beverage outlets.
Over the course of eight years at Pelican Sound Whitmore oversaw three major capital improvement projects totaling $20 million, which significantly improved the two clubhouse operations as well as golf course play-ability. In addition to that, his resume includes time with Taylor Morrison, a top ten national builder, where he was the vice president of community operations in the Southwest Florida region overseeing Customer Service as well as seventy homeowner and condominium associations. He also managed the community master planning process and construction of the community-wide infrastructure and amenity packages.
Jim began his career in service and hospitality as a golf caddie. He worked his way up the ladder to become a successful manager thus earning him his new position here in Brevard. He graduated from Texas Christian University with a double major in Real Estate Finance and Accounting.

Jim and his wife Michelle, a certified yoga instructor, are originally from New England: Connecticut and New Hampshire, respectively. They have resided in Florida for the last twenty-five years and frequently vacation in North Carolina as it is their favorite destination when time permits. They have recently added a rescue yellow lab puppy to the family who also enjoys the natural surroundings of Western North Carolina.
