Connestee Falls Overlook Clubhouse Renovation Underway
A $2.5 million major renovation to the Overlook Clubhouse will modernize the interior of the 26,000 square foot facility.
The project, funded from $8000 Amenity Fees collected via real estate sales in Connestee Falls, includes an ambitious program:
- Lobby Renovations
- Blue Ridge Lounge Redesign
- Carolina Dining Room Makeover
- Grill & Sports Bar Redesign
- A/V System Throughout With Monitors
“New buyers often ask what the Amenity Fee is for and this project is a great example of how the Connestee Falls POA (CFPOA) puts these funds back into the community,” said acting general manager Sharon Jenkins. “The project evolved from input by hundreds of Connestee CFPOA members, surveys of new buyers, input from many community clubs and with leadership by our Board, Facilities Planning Committee and administrative staff.”
The interior design will include use of natural stone and wood for a warm and inviting feel that reflects the natural setting and beauty of Connestee Falls. Interior upgrades include new furniture, flooring, specialty light fixtures, window coverings, custom bars, stone, woodwork, restrooms, and acoustics.
New interior merchandising and finishes for the Lobby will set the stage. The plan recreates the Blue Ridge Lounge as a true upscale bar and lounge. Designers are taking advantage of the beamed vaulted ceiling to add a more dramatic feel to the room. The bar will be a focal point using a beautiful wood and stone motif.
New flooring and other interior enhancements will improve the Carolina Dining room area. The Grill, on the lower level, will be expanded, the interior updated and a separate Sports Bar added. Behind the scenes, new kitchen and bar equipment will modernize the major food and beverage operations in the clubhouse.
Work is underway and anticipated to be completed this summer. As with any major construction and renovation project, it is hard to set an exact date. Stay tuned to Reflections Blog for updates on this major undertaking as the CFPOA prepares to reopen the all-new Connestee Falls Overlook Clubhouse.
