Connestee Falls Residents Continue Telling Story In Pictures
Nothing shares the story of this amazing community like the pictures our resident photographers take and share in the quarterly Resident Photo Contests. The Spring 2018 entries included several great shots making it hard, as always, to select the winners. This batch had several people photos plus many beautiful shots of the natural beauty around Connestee Falls.
The winning photos earned each resident photographer well received recognition here on the Reflections Blog and in the community newsletter along with a gift certificate to the Overlook Clubhouse.
Title: Early Morning on Golf Course
Photographer: Gloria Larson
Gloria says “This was taken along the 7th fairway’s cart path. It was just before 7 AM on a late May morning when I was walking the golf course and stopped to take pictures of some birds. As I turned around, I saw the old wooden steps with grass growing through them and the Mountain Laurel starting to bloom. The sun just lit up the many greens and yellows in the trees along the steps as if announcing that spring had arrived in Connestee Falls.
Title: Connestee Sunset
Photographer: Judy Patrick
Judy Patrick entered this surreal Connestee Sunset photo that was an easy winner to pick. She said this photo “was taken off our second story balcony on the back of our house on Kituhwa Trail facing due west.”
Title: Joanna Thomas at the Falls
Photographer: Jodi Thomas
Jodi Thomas posed Joanna with one of the many spectacular waterfalls here at Connestee Falls as the backdrop. According to Jodi, this shot was taken at Batson Falls on their first hike as residents. She added, “We love it here!”
Title: Clear Day
Photographer: Lauren Barron
Just a lovely clear day at one of the four lakes in Connestee Falls and a clear photo contest winner. This beautiful boy was perfectly captured in this perfect photo.
Title: Carson Creek Hike
Photographer: Chuck Dunn
With 14 miles of private trails Chuck Dunn’s Carson Creek Hike portrait is set at just one of the many great photo ops along the way.
The Property Owners Association regularly runs resident photo contests and the winning photos are published here on the blog. All the photos of the community on the Connestee Falls website are also by residents. Find more spectacular photos there and in the Connestee Flipbook Photo Album.
