Scholarship Committee
Since its inception in 1987, the Connestee Falls Student Scholarship Program has raised over $475000 for scholarships awarded to students at Transylvania County Schools, Brevard College and Blue Ridge Community College. We raise funds and program awareness through an open golf tournament, tennis tournaments, merchant events, and participation in Heart of Brevard festivals.
The scholarship program is solely sponsored by the Connestee Falls Property Owners Association including the Overlook dining and golf operations, but we also rely heavily on the strong support of Connestee Falls residents and groups, area businesses, and matching grants from corporations.
In spite of the economic downturn funds raised have increased during 2009 and 2010, indicating that Connestee Falls residents place a high priority on quality education for students in the Brevard community.
