Connestee property Sales remained strong in 2020
Sales at Connestee Falls in 2020 surpassed the high pace of 2019 including resale of existing homes and newly constructed builder homes.
"Going into season we really were not sure what to expect for home sales with the pandemic crisis coming up virtually overnight in mid March," said POA General Manager Jim Whitmore. "Inventory has been running low all year but interest from buyers remained high and properties just continued to sell quickly."
There were 128 home sales recorded in the local Multiple Listing Service (MLS) compared to 127 in 2019, which was already a high point since the real estate market crashed in 2009. According to Whitmore, there were an additional 17 home sales not recorded in MLS bringing the 2020 total to 145. There were also 23 lots sold in 2020.
"We also continue to see strong interest in lot sales for those looking to build new homes as well as from area builders buying lots to build spec homes," said Whitmore. "We are fortunate to have a nice supply of POA lots available for sale to help meet the continued interest of buyers wishing to make Connestee Falls their home."
Connestee Falls has a wide variety of properties including condominiums priced from the high $100s and homes ranging from the $200s to over $1 million. Lot prices and availability varies from around $10,000 for "par" lots and up depending on size and view orientations.
"I think a big part of our appeal is the huge value buyers find in our homes along with the tremendous natural and club amenities, "said Whitmore. "In addition, virtually every single-family home in the community is a one-of-a-kind with very little duplication of front elevations and floor plans, which many find a refreshing change compared to the cookie-cutter look in so many master planned communities."
